Seldom have I seen the level of concern shown over the last two weeks since President Obama issued his edict that public schools must open up bathrooms, showers, and dorm rooms to individuals based on their professed gender identity. If the schools do not comply with this extreme political agenda, the schools risk losing their federal funding.

The concern and, yes, outrage is widespread as Americans wake up to the reality that they may have to choose between their child’s education and their child’s privacy and safety, all due to this incredible federal overreach.

The question of whether federal or local governments can strip away the rights of parents and school officials to ensure the safety and privacy of children at public schools could be on a fast track to the U.S. Supreme Court. Just this week, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to reconsider its earlier decision to open a Virginia school’s restrooms to the opposite sex. One judge reasoned the refusal will ensure a quick path to the Supreme Court.

As you know, thankfully, our Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas joined ten other states to challenge the Obama edict.

Now it’s up to all Arizona elected officials at every level to not succumb to this federal overreach, but to do everything they can to protect all students.

We Need Your Help! Stand with Us!

Sign our petition to encourage Governor Ducey and all elected officials in Arizona to oppose the Obama edict. The petition also thanks General Brnovich and Superintendent Douglas for taking a stand.

Download the petition here. Take it with you to get other citizens to sign and then mail or email the sheet to our office.

Elected officials need to hear from you about this important issue.

We must not forget that parents have a right and responsibility to ensure the safety, privacy, and dignity of their children. And school administrators have a duty to keep all students safe. We cannot let the Obama administration take those rights away.

We must protect children against those who would abuse the law. The government should not be taking sides when it comes to the safety and welfare of our children.

Thank you for taking time to sign the petition. Stand with us by downloading it and collecting signatures. CAP will deliver the petitions to elected officials. Make your voice heard and do what you can to fight the federal overreach threatening our children.
