Great news for Arizona families! Governor Katie Hobbs has signed HB2112 into law, which protects children by requiring pornography websites to take reasonable steps to ensure that children are not accessing harmful content. This vital piece of legislation passed with bipartisan support in the House and Senate—and with Governor Hobb’s signature it will now help safeguard Arizona’s children from the dangers of online pornography.

Representative Nick Kupper introduced this legislation, and his leadership has been invaluable throughout the legislative process.

Arizona’s children are now safer. This new law provides critical protection for young minds during their formative years. Beyond just protecting children’s innocence, by requiring age verification, HB2112 helps combat sex trafficking by preventing early exposure that can normalize exploitation. The ripple effects of this protection will help reduce addiction, prevent early sexualization of children, and give parents powerful new tools to shield their families.

We’re asking you TODAY to contact Governor Hobbs to THANK her for SIGNING HB2112 into law.

HB2112 mandates age verification for online access to sexual material that is harmful to minors (pornography). The dangers of pornography and online access for children are obvious, and HB2112 provides barriers to accessing this harmful content while protecting personal information.

This crucial new law also grants parents a right of action to sue an offending party who violates the age verification requirement and exposes children to dangerous online sexual content. Parents now have a new tool to protect their children from harmful pornographic content thanks to Governor Hobbs signing HB2112 into law!
