HB2184: Fetal death; funeral homes
Summary:
HB2184 allows—at the request of the mother—the remains of a child prior to 20 weeks gestation to receive a fetal death certificate. Further, mothers must be informed of the option to transfer the bodily remains of the child to a funeral home. This bill protects the right of parents to grieve the loss of their unborn children instead of being disposed of as medical waste.
