Q. I’ve moved. Do I need to register again?

Q. My name has changed. Do I need to register again?

Q. I want to change my political party. Do I need to register again?

Q. I’m not 18 yet, but I will be soon. Can I register?
A. Yes. You may register now for an election as long as you will be 18 by the date of that election. The easiest way to register is online, using this “Register to Vote” link.
   
Q. I sent in my form two weeks ago, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. 
Did it get lost?
A. The County Recorder says that you should receive confirmation 4-6 weeks after your original submission.  If you do not hear from the County Recorder by then, give them a call. List of County Recorder's offices.
   
Q. What do people need in order to register?
A. Arizona law now requires proof of citizenship to be submitted along with a voter registration form.  If you received your driver’s license after October 1996, then that constitutes proof of citizenship.  If not, you will need one of the following documents:

  • Photocopy of birth certificate (with additional documentation if your name has changed since birth)
  • Photocopy of your passport
  • Certificate of naturalization number
  • Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number, Tribal Treaty Card Number, or Tribal Enrollment Number.
  • Photocopy of license from another state that required proof of citizenship to obtain a license at the time it was obtained.
  • Photocopy of Tribal Certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal Affidavit of Birth.
