Arizona ID Requirement for Voter Registration

Voter registration forms must now include a document showing proof of citizenship, otherwise the form will be rejected. The acceptable proofs of citizenship are as follows (any one of the following is acceptable):

  • Driver's license or non-operating identification license issued after October 1, 1996.

  • Photocopy of birth certificate and supporting documentation (marriage certificate) if your name has changed.

  • Photocopy of U.S. passport.

  • Photocopy of driver's license from another state if the license indicates that proof of citizenship was provided.

  • Certificate of naturalization number.

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number, Tribal Treaty Card Number, or Tribal Enrollment Number.

  • Photocopy of Tribal Certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Affidavit of Birth.
