Other CAP-CAN Volunteer Opportunities

All CAP-CAN volunteers will receive our free 5 Minutes for Families updates and CAP Action Alerts via email.

CAP Event Assistant – Assist in the setup, operation, and clean up of various CAP events around the state. Normally volunteers are needed in the early afternoon and/or evenings.

Exhibit Representative – Represent CAP at a table of materials at other organizations’ events. Normally requires a two to eight hour block of time. Need to be familiar with CAP. (Training may be required.)

Prayer Team – Be involved in Capitol on-site prayer or receive our weekly prayer updates.

Donation of professional services – Donate your talent or business services to help CAP, i.e. printing services, running A/V equipment at events, graphic design, marketing, etc.

Office Assistant, occasional basis – Periodically help in the CAP office with filing, typing, calls, and miscellaneous office duties.

Office Assistant, regular basis – Commit to a regular weekly (or bi-weekly) time in the CAP office. You will be assigned to assist a specific staff member and have regular office duties. Minimum two hour requirement.

Bulk Mail Assistant – Label and assemble envelopes or prepare packages for mailing. These projects are generally time-sensitive. Normally, the projects may be completed in the CAP office or from your home.

Policy Research Assistant – Conduct research on various projects as help is needed.

Legislative Monitor – Attend committee hearings at the state Capitol as needed during the legislative session (approximately January through May) and report back to CAP.

Letter-to-the-Editor Writer – Available to periodically submit your own letters or letters drafted by CAP staff.
