As a church leader, I know it’s likely you’ve already received daunting cultural questions this year.
- What do you say to the same-sex couple wanting to get married at your church?
- How do you help the event planner or florist, one of your church members, who doesn’t want to participate in a same-sex wedding?
- What do you do about the openly gay young man who wants to be a youth leader?
The questions currently being raised about marriage and religious freedom are questions we want to be able to answer not only biblically but also culturally, especially as people of faith.
I’ve invited Ryan T. Anderson, Ph.D., the William E. Simon senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation, to join us on September 26th. Ryan is the author of several books – he co-authored Debating Religious Liberty and Discrimination, a book one reviewer called “important for pastors who will need to help congregants encountering conscience conflicts in their own callings.”
Ryan’s next book is When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, and here is a link to his bio at The Heritage Foundation if you’d like to learn more about Ryan.
At a lunch for leaders like you, Ryan will provide insight about culturally significant topics, and there will be a Q&A at the end.
A recent video will give you an idea of why I’m excited to invite him to meet with us: Click here to watch!
My hope is an event like this one will provide you with resources useful for your ministry to the church. You are welcome to bring any of your pastors, staff, or church leaders. This event will only be available for pastors and church leaders. CAP ministry friends have made this lunch possible without cost to you.
