How You Can Make a Difference for the Arizona Family
WE BELIEVE THE FAMILY is the foundation of society, the basic unit upon which a healthy
and vibrant society is built. As you know, there are those who are determined to reengineer
society into something different, destroying our most beautiful and treasured
possession … our families.
There are many ways you can make a difference by partnering with The Center for
Arizona Policy. Here are a few suggestions:
- Encourage others to subscribe to our
free email update, Family Facts -
Arizona. These regular updates keep
you informed on what’s happening in
our state government as it relates to
the family.
- Subscribers to Family Facts-Arizona
will periodically receive a CAP Action
Alert, giving you an opportunity to
take action on a current issue. We
encourage you to respond and forward
it to others to take action.
- Let your legislators know what you
think about issues they are
considering, because your voice makes
a big difference. “Find Your District”
and “Find Your Legislators”.
- It’s important to have the right people
serving in government and therefore
your vote is important. You can
register and encourage others to
register to vote at www.azsos.gov (click on button at the bottom of the
page on the right side). It’s also
important to encourage our family and
friends to get out and vote on Election
Day.
- You can hold a voter registration drive.
For information to help you plan a
drive, visit CAP’s Voter Registration
Center.
|
- Prior to elections, distribute our
nonpartisan Voter’s Guide that
presentsthe candidate’s positions on several important issues related to the
family and our faith.
- Join our Prayer Network and then under “Prayer Opportunities”
in the right column, click on “Weekly
Prayer Email.”
- Get educated about CAP’s Policy
Issues and learn about “What
Churches Can and Cannot Do” by
going to www.azpolicy.org/capcan.php and clicking on the items in the “Get
Educated” section.
- Utilize the practical “How To’s” in the
right column of the CAP-CAN page. It
includes: how to start a governmental
prayer group, how to write a letter to
the editor, how to promote covenant
marriage, how to get your church
involved in issues, how to start a Bible
club, and many more.
- Learn about The Truth Project, a
powerful 12-week small group study
that presents a biblical worldview.
- Learn about CAP’s Community Action Network and how you can get involved.
- Visit Focus on the Family’s CitizenLink and sign up to receive Focus’s Citizen magazine on the left side of page.
- For more ideas, click on the “Get Involved” pull-down tab on the menu at the top of this page where there is a wealth of information and tools available.
