Tips for Trained Arizona Facilitators
This page contains basic direction for Trained Truth Project Facilitators in Arizona. Please visit Focus on the Family’s official Truth Project web sites, www.thetruthproject.org and The Truth Project Support Site, for more comprehensive support materials.
- Please contact a potential participant within one week of receiving the email from CAP. This would be a time for you to confirm their participation in your group and provide them with any additional information needed.
- Try to keep your group manageable. The Truth Project curriculum is designed for small groups that are made up of 10-12 people. This size is intentional as it will help to foster personal relationships and allow for individual growth to occur within the framework of an authentic Christian community.
- Once you have enough participants, please remember to return to the CAP Truth Project web page to close your group.
- Please make sure you log into The Truth Project Support Site. You can get to the site two ways.
- Go to www.thetruthproject.org and click on the lower right box that says “Connect.”
- Or, go directly to http://connect.thetruthproject.org.
- When you log into the support site, make sure you have purchased your DVD set and are set up as a small group leader.
- Look for an icon on the left saying “Purchase The Truth Project DVD Set.” Click and follow the instructions to order a set.
- Look for an icon on the left saying “Become a Leader!" Click and follow the instructions to convert your profile to be a Leader. You must be set up as a leader in order for the participants to log in as members of your small group.
- If there are no icons, check the top of the page. If you are set up as a Leader, it should say: “Logged in as: Your Name │ Leader_youremail@xyz.com.” You should also see that there is a link for “Leader Support” under the Online Resources on the left side of the page.
- If you have any trouble logging into the support site, you will need to contact Focus on the Family directly either by calling (800) A-FAMILY (232-6459) and referencing project DEX TRUTH, or by using the Contact Form at www.thetruthproject.org/contact.
- Focus advises facilitators to print the first lesson for the first meeting with participants. Along with the first lesson, facilitators are asked to provide instructions for how participants can log into the support site themselves. Encourage participants to log into Truth Project Support Site to print future lessons and to take advantage of the many additional resources. Participants should:
- Go to www.thetruthproject.org and click on the "Connect" area on the lower right.
Or, go directly to the Support Site, http://connect.thetrughproject.org
- Click the button that says “Create a New Participant Account”
- Leader’s email is: (provide facilitator's email)
- Leader’s zip code is: (provide facilitator's zip code)
- Click to submit, then enter your information. (You need to make note of the email and zip code that you enter. Your future small group participants will need it to create their accounts.)
- Once you have created your account, return to the Support Site any time and log in as an Existing User.
The support site has everything a participant will need to get the most out of the lessons.
