USA Today is reporting that due to findings from FBI-DEA raids last week on an abortion clinic, an abortionist in Philadelphia is having his license suspended.  Why was the license suspended?  

      Parts of aborted fetuses in jars.

      Blood on the floor. 

      Deplorable and unsanitary conditions.  

The Pennsylvania Department of State's Board of Medicine was right to suspend the license and say that further allowing the practices would be "an immediate and clear danger to the public health and safety."

This example is another reason why CAP has tirelessly worked to ensure that abortion clinics are held to the highest standard. While abortion is unfortunately still legal in our country, we must continue to fight to ensure that women are fully informed of the risks and alternatives to abortion. CAP helped the Arizona Legislature pass the Abortion Consent Act last year to make that a reality in Arizona. 

This year, we are working to pass a law to require all abortion facilities to accurately report abortion statistics.
