Abortion Consent Act
In February of 2009, the Arizona House of Representatives introduced HB2564 - the Abortion Consent Act. This legislation is a common-sense approach that updates and revises the abortion statutes in our state.
The legislation passed through the House and the Senate and was signed by Governor Jan Brewer. Two lawsuits were filed by pro-abortion groups on September 14, 2009, to challenge the Abortion Consent Act.
