Take action to protect all Arizona students. Sign the petition urging elected officials to stand up for our children and our schools.

President Obama recently threatened to withhold education funding from every public school in America if they do not open all public school girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers to male students. This flies in the face of common sense and logic. Moreover, this extreme change was not debated and passed by Congress; rather it was decreed in dictator-like fashion by President Obama.

We are thankful that Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas have taken a stand by joining Texas and other states in a legal challenge against this bullying by the federal government. They are fighting for Arizona’s interests, ensuring that President Obama hears how Arizonans feel about boys in girls’ bathrooms.

We call on Governor Doug Ducey and all elected officials to take a bold stand against this extreme political agenda. In doing so, they will be joining a long list of respectable and courageous leaders throughout the country taking action on behalf of students. Parties to this lawsuit include:

State of Texas
Harrold Independent School District, TX
State of Alabama
State of Wisconsin
State of West Virginia
State of Tennessee
Arizona Department of Education
Heber-Overgaard School District, AZ
Paul LePage, Governor of the State of Maine, Pro Se
State of Oklahoma
State of Louisiana
State of Utah

Action Needed:

  1. Sign the petition urging Governor Doug Ducey and all Arizona elected officials to do everything in their power to keep our children safe. The petition also thanks Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas for standing up to the federal government.
  2. Forward this email to a friend and invite them to also sign the petition.
  3. Circulate the petition at your church and among your family and friends by printing off the PDF here! Our elected officials need to know how Arizonans and parents feel about boys in girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers.
