In a historic moment for Center for Arizona Policy and the citizens of Arizona, Governor Jan Brewer signed into law SB 1305 during the CAP Family Dinner on April 24. Along with over 40 legislators and CAP's Policy Team, Governor Brewer stood on stage and ensured over 1600 people in attendance that their state tax dollars will not fund elective abortions.

SB 1305 also opts Arizona out of funding abortions through the state insurance exchange in the new federal healthcare plan.  

SB 1305 is the 2nd bill on CAP's 2010 Legislative Agenda that was signed into law. Please pray for the additional bills that have only a few days or weeks left to pass the legislature.
